In dit blog gaat het juist om wat first, second en third party data is. Het is namelijk belangrijk om ook deze typen data helder te hebben. Recent gaat het vaak over het verdwijnen van third party data. Meestal in een zin genoemd met de Cookieless Era. Dit is echter een onjuiste constatering. Het gaat daarbij namelijk over third-party cookies en niet over third-party data. Denk hierbij aan ingevulde webformulieren , CRM data en ingevulde surveys op een bijvoorbeeld een event of beursstand. Kortom, het komt direct van jouw doelgroep en vandaar ook de term first party of zoals je zou kunnen zeggen: informatie uit eerste hand.<\/p>\n<p>Vaak wordt dit ook wel gezien als de beste data om je op te focussen, aangezien deze data over het algemeen het meest betrouwbaar is. Bovendien is deze informatie gratis. Daarbij ben je wel afhankelijk van data onderhoud en het goed invullen van zaken door je klanten en prospects. Zodra\u00a0 je namelijk 1 jaar lang geen onderhoud pleegt aan een dataset, zal ongeveer 30% daarvan verouderd zijn en dus niet meer correct. Kijk maar eens naar alle LinkedIn berichten die je ziet over mensen die van baan switchen. Werk je die allemaal netjes bij in jouw CRM systeem?<br \/>\nEen andere belangrijke beperking van first-party data is dat je alleen data opbouwt van (potenti\u00eble) klanten die ook daadwerkelijk informatie aan je afstaan. Deze vorm van data kan ook zeker interessant zijn. Zo kun je producten of diensten verkopen die complementair aan elkaar zijn, waardoor je elkaar kan helpen door first-party data uit te wisselen. Logischerwijs sta je nog verder af van de betreffende consument of organisatie. Het gaat hier namelijk veelal om data die je aanschaft bij dataleveranciers, zoals Smart Profile. Dit kan gaan om bedrijfsinformatie, consumptie inzichten (via bijvoorbeeld Nielsen) en locatie informatie. Benieuwd welke data we kunnen bieden, kijk dan <a href=\"https:\/\/smartprofile.io\/nl\/stap-1-inzicht\/onze-data\/\">hier.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Vanzelfsprekend heb je zelf minder grip op de betrouwbaarheid van deze data, maar biedt het juist de benodigde informatie om nieuwe business binnen te halen. Bovendien zijn er meerdere aanbieders van data, waardoor ze genoodzaakt zijn om de kwaliteit hoog te houden op basis van gebruik en concurrentie.\u00a0 Daarbij wordt informatie vaak via diverse bronnen gevalideerd en wordt er zodoende ook vaak gesproken over data verzamelaars of data aggregators in het Engels.<\/p>\n<p>Naast de aanvulling van nieuwe data kunnen dataleveranciers, zoals Smart Profile je ook helpen om jouw first -en second party data automatisch te updaten in bijvoorbeeld jouw CRM systeem. Denk maar eens aan de diverse (API) koppelingen die er tegenwoordig zijn met dergelijke systemen, wellicht gebruik je er zelf ook wel een. Op die manier heeft het namelijk de meeste waarde voor jouw organisatie. Daarbij is het van belang om te bepalen welke hoofdbron je selecteert ofwel waar staat jouw single version of the truth? Zoek hierbij als marketeer ook de aansluiting met je ICT collega\u2019s met oog op de data infrastructuur.<\/p>\n<p>Besef je daarnaast dat het beheren van de kwaliteit van jouw data een vak apart is. Ik vergelijk het met het bijhouden van de laatste ontwikkelingen rondom online marketing, zoals aanpassingen in het Google algoritme. Dergelijke zaken worden veelal uitbesteed aan een online marketing bureau. Assistentie rondom datagedreven marketing is daarbij niet anders. Wees eerlijk, het up-to-date houden van data in het CRM systeem is vaak geen prio en weten welke bronnen en marktontwikkelingen er zijn is lastig bij te houden. Kijk dan ook hoe een dataleverancier je kan helpen om deze zorg uit handen te nemen. Bekijk het niet alleen als iets wat raakvlak heeft met online marketing. Ook informatie uit onder andere salesgesprekken, telefoongesprekken\/calls en event bezoek is relevant om mee te nemen in je datagedreven aanpak.<\/p>\n<p>In je zoektocht naar hulp rondom datagedreven marketing zul je vast ook merken dat er diverse soorten partijen zijn die deze term hanteren en je daarbij kunnen helpen. Je hebt IT partijen die je kunnen helpen met de data infrastructuur, je hebt (online) marketing bureaus die vooral helpen met de inzet van jouw online data en er zijn dataleveranciers die juist zorgen voor kwalitatieve data als aanvulling op jouw eigen data.<\/p>\n<h5><em>Kort gezegd kun je zeggen dat IT nodig is voor de structuur, dataleveranciers met name zorgen voor de data en bureaus je helpen met de inzet van die data. <\/em><\/h5>\n<p>Natuurlijk zijn er nog diverse aanvullende of overlopende diensten die door deze partijen worden aangeboden, maar mijn inziens het is belangrijk om deze 3 elementen goed te onderscheiden.<\/p>\n<p>Je zult ook merken dat de diverse partijen datagedreven of datadriven marketing op andere manieren uitleggen. Veelal in hun voordeel vanzelfsprekend. Zo heeft een online marketing bureau het veelal over inzicht in je bezoekers, terwijl een ICT dienstverlener het vooral aanvliegt als de invulling van data voor de hele organisatie. Tenslotte zullen dataleveranciers het juist hebben over het belang van de kwaliteit van de data.
